Case study:

Millbrook Village

Millbrook Village is the second of three projects which SpaceInvader have designed for our client Helical Plc and Renaissance Villages, completing in April 2017.

The projects are all part of the re-branding and re-positioning of the company and its place in the retirement village market.

The project’s purpose was to appeal to an active and life style orientated clientele and the design aimed to capture a light, airy and comfortable environment in this historic building set in the heart of the village complex.

SpaceInvader did a great job of interpreting our brief and designing and creating a environment that captures perfectly our vision for the new lifestyle branding of the Renaissance Villages business.

Their attention to the detail right down to the selection and placement of accessories was excellent and demonstrated their commitment and passion across all aspects of the project.

Housed within the complex are a residents’ lounge, cafe and restaurant with a private dining room, a library and boardroom as well as leisure facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, bar, games room and even a cinema.

The challenge was to ensure the spaces, which spread across three floors, flow seamlessly and were attractive, stimulating and user friendly environments. Simple use and application of durable finishes and materials throughout along with the selection of practical, modern furniture and fittings create a homely and welcoming setting for communal and social activities.
