Case study:

NCC Group

IT Assurance firm NCC Group originally commissioned SpaceInvader to redesign its 50,000 sq ft Manchester HQ in 2012.

The successful delivery of this project saw SpaceInvader appointed for a second instruction shortly afterwards to re-evaluate NCC Group’s entire property portfolio both in the UK and US. As a result, SpaceInvader has been instrumental in the development of a global real estate strategy which has been rolled out across a number of offices – London, Leatherhead, San Francisco and New York.

“At first we had a practical need for a refurbishment at our head office as we had taken on more floor space and were keen to create an environment that truly reflected our business. In actual fact, bringing SpaceInvader on board has allowed us to go much further and we now have a design strategy and visual brand identity that is being rolled out across our whole property portfolio including Edinburgh, Leatherhead and San Francisco.”
- Rob Cotton, CEO, NCC Group

SpaceInvader has recently worked with an international project team to deliver NCC Group’s new office in Lower Manhattan. Established through the amalgamation of three newly acquired businesses, the 10,000 sq ft office had to align the cultures of the three individual companies and recognise their different working styles, while introducing the NCC Group global real estate guidelines on design and furniture. Agile working is a priority for the business and has driven a need for modern, flexible working environments.

The £1.5m project saw the premises completely refurbished to create a primarily open plan office environment with semi-private workstations for managers and collaborative areas for team working.
