Spacelnvader Featured in the Journal of Biophilic Design: A Sustainable Design Success
We’re honoured to have our work at Eden at New Bailey showcased as a case study in the Journal of Biophilic Design. This feature underscores how innovative interior design and sustainable design principles can transform workplaces, enhancing both the environment and employee wellbeing.
Eden is more than just an office, it represents a £36m milestone in sustainable development. With Europe’s largest green wall, net-zero operational carbon, and biodiversity embedded in its design, this ECF development sets a new benchmark for environmentally conscious workplaces.
As interior designers at Spacelnvader, we played a key role in bringing Eden’s vision to life. We designed the social hub across the ground and mezzanine floors, creating spaces that promote wellbeing, reflect Eden’s commitment to sustainability, and push the boundaries of biophilic design. Our interiors not only enhance the employee experience but also align with the building's eco-friendly values.
This project demonstrates how sustainable design and biophilic interiors can improve workplace environments, boost employee satisfaction, and increase profitability. Eden proves that sustainable design can be both functional and beautiful, transforming workplaces while providing long-term benefits to the value chain, from real estate performance to tenant retention.
A special thank you to the Journal of Biophilic Design for featuring this incredible project, and to all our collaborators: Homes England, Legal & General, Muse, Make Architects, Bowmer & Kirkland, Cundall, Light Forms, J Carey Design, and The Furniture Practice.
This recognition further affirms our belief that sustainable interior design and design excellence are essential to shaping the future of workspaces.
